Lucky bamboo and golden pothos can both be grown in a conical flask, which is a vessel with a wide base and a narrow top. The narrow top of the flask makes it easy to add water, and the wide base offers plenty of room for the plant's roots to spread out. When planting in a conical flask, it is important to make sure that the water level is kept high enough to keep the plants’ roots covered. It is also important to use a soil mix that is light and airy to ensure adequate drainage and oxygenation. Fertilizer should be added every few weeks to ensure that the plants have all the nutrients they need to thrive.

The Lucky Bamboo is a low-maintenance plant. It makes an excellent office or home plant since it loves a low-light location away from direct sunlight. Lucky Bamboo does not require soil or fertilizer to grow. In reality, it will work very well in distilled or filtered water. Simply immerse the plant in 1 inch of distilled or cleaned water. Lucky Bamboo in Water Care:

Water: Use Filter water or pure water but not the distilled water

Make sure there is always water at the roots. Every seven to ten days, give your lucky bamboo new water to keep it happy and healthy.

Algae can grow in water, so try to keep the container clean and change the water often (about once a week). The bamboo plant can drink tap water as long as the chlorine levels are low. Before you use tap water to water your lucky bamboo, you should leave it out overnight so the chlorine can evaporate.

Pro Tips: If your tap water has a lot of fluoride, you should drink filtered water, like bottled water, instead. Fluoride doesn't evaporate, and plants like lucky bamboo can't handle it.

Temperatures: Lucky bamboo does well in temperatures from 65 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit (18 to 35 degrees Celsius), which makes it a great plant for the office or home. During the winter, don't put your plant near a window or other place where there is a cold draft.

Toixicity: Lucky bamboo is dangerous for cats and dogs, so keep it out of their reach. If your pets eat it, it can make them uncoordinated, weak, sick, have stomach pain, diarrhea, drool, and have bigger pupils. Lucky bamboo, on the other hand, is not harmful to people.

Problems: Your lucky bamboo should be green, but if any part of the stem or leaves are yellow, it could be sick. Take off the whole yellow part of the stem or leaf so it doesn't spread to the rest of the plant.

Money Plants (Pothos):

Common Name: Devil's ivy
Botanical Name: Epipremnum aureum

Because it can get rid of gaseous pollutants like formaldehyde from the air, the Pothos is a good choice for indoor environments. It is a climber, too: Due to its aerial root structure, it is known to outgrow tree trunks and forest floors in its native Southeast Asia. By giving it a coco coir pole, you can get it to grow up instead of out. Under ideal circumstances, it can trail up to 10 feet and produce leaves that are four to eight inches long.

Care for Pothos in water:
Place the vine in bright, indirect light. Although pothos vines operate well in relatively low light, too much bright sunshine may restrict development or cause the leaves to turn brown or yellow. Replace the water in the container every two to three weeks, or anytime the water seems brackish. To eliminate any algae, scrub the container with a towel or an old toothbrush. Fertilize and hydrate your pothos every four to six weeks.

Light:

Although pothos plants like bright, indirect light, they may survive medium to low levels, as in residences that face north or in the colder months when the days are shorter. The leaves of this plant will scorch and become brown under strong, direct sunlight.

Temperature:
The majority of houseplants like temperatures between 65°F and 85°F (18°C and 30°C). Try not to allow the temperature in your house go below 60°F (15°C) if you decide to keep it colder than that.
