The rubber plant has big, thick leaves that cover a lot of space. It works well to clean the air because it has a lot of surface area. People think that if you take good care of a rubber plant, it will be able to soak up pollutants and chemicals and turn them into harmless compounds.
People also believe that the roots of the rubber plant clean the air. When the plant is watered, the air is thought to move down from the top of the plant. This allows dirty air to move down into the soil. And this soil is full of microbes that turn harmful pollutants into harmless compounds or even food for the rubber plant. According to research, these are just some of the benefits of keeping a rubber plant inside.
Another possible benefit of rubber plants is that they can take carbon dioxide out of the air, making the air you breathe better. People think that when a rubber plant is in a room, it soaks up the carbon dioxide we breathe out and turns it into oxygen. It's why so many people choose to keep rubber plants inside. The difference in how fresh the air is easy to notice.
One of the best things about having a rubber plant inside (yes, we saved the best for last) is that it is thought to lower the risk of breathing allergies, such as asthma. The rubber plant is thought to work because it lowers the humidity in the room. This stops pollutants from turning into dust. For people with asthma, dust is not a friend. How's that for a super plant that cleans the air? Taking care of rubber plants the right way can help clean the air in many ways.
Since Dhaka is one of the most polluted cities, keeping these plants at home would help a lot.
RUBBER PLANTS CARE & GUIDELINES
Placement
Put your Rubber Tree in a room with a moderate amount of natural light or near a window with a sheer curtain to let the light in but keep it from getting too strong. Turn the plant every so often to help it grow evenly.
Light Requirements
Your Red Rubber Plant likes bright light that comes from the side. Direct sunlight is fine in the morning or late afternoon, but you should stay out of the harsh midday sun, which can burn the leaves. This plant can't grow in dim light.
Watering Needs
Water when 50–75 percent of the volume of the soil is dry. Slowly water the soil until the water runs out of the drainage hole at the bottom of the pot. Throw away any water that builds up in the saucer.
Humidity Tolerance
Your Rubber Tree does fine with the average humidity in your home. If you want to add more humidity, you can put a pebble tray or humidifier nearby.
Unhealthy Plants Signs
Falling leaves and yellowing leaves could be signs that the plant is getting too much water. Cut off any leaves that are damaged to make room for new growth. If the plant's leaves get dull, it needs more light.
Temperature Preferences
Temperatures between 15°C and 27°C are good for the Burgundy Rubber Tree.
Toxicity
If eaten, this plant is dangerous for both people and animals
Botanical name: Zamioculcas zamiifolia
The ZZ is everything a starter plant should be. Stunning + impossible to kill + air purifying = houseplant perfection.
The plant is an air cleaner that can get rid of a lot of toxins in the air, like xylene, toluene, and benzene. ZZ plants are easy to take care of and keep alive because they can live with less sunlight and can handle drought. The main reason for this is that the roots of the plant have rhizomes that help store water. In some parts of Africa, the leaves of ZZ plants are used to treat earaches because they are good for your health.
Sunlight
Will perform best in indirect light that is bright to moderate, but will tolerate extremely low levels of light.
Maintenance
Water the soil when it is completely dry enough, but not too often.
Temperature
It does best at room temperature, between 60°F - 77°F. Avoid cold temperatures at all costs.
Humidity
It functions effectively at typical indoor humidity levels between 40 and 60 percent.
Botanical name: Chlorophytum comosum
This striped, skinny plant has a lot of personality and is easy to grow without needing much care. The spider plant is called that because its leaves look like spiders and hang down like spiders on a web.
Hard To Kill Almost
The spider plant is one of the houseplants that can pretty much take care of itself. It can do well and adapt to different weather conditions even if it is left alone for days or if it gets too much or too little water. The spider plant can grow in low light or part sun, but it does best in bright indirect light.
Cleans the Air
The spider plant is thought to be one of the easiest plants to grow that clean the air. It works well to get rid of dangerous chemicals like carbon monoxide, xylene, formaldehyde, and toluene from the air. NASA says that the spider plant is one of the top three houseplants that are great at getting rid of formaldehyde. Formaldehyde is a common household chemical that can be found in things like manufactured wood products, plastic products, pesticides, leather goods, adhesives, clothing, drapes, and so on.
Safe for Pets
The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) says that pets can safely eat spider plants. But you should still keep pets away from this plant and don't let them eat the leaves because that could be dangerous. Chemicals in the spider plant are said to be related to opium, which could make the pet sick to their stomach, make them throw up, or make them have diarrhea.

According to feng shui, air purifiers may increase the "energy" of a location by filtering indoor air and removing toxins. They are also simple to maintain, efficient against allergens, and beneficial for mild diseases.
Filter indoor air, even at night
Similar to other houseplants, snake plants filter the air within the home. This plant is one of the few that can transform carbon dioxide (CO2) into oxygen throughout the night.
As a result of its ability to maintain healthy airflow, this plant is well suited for use as bedroom décor.
Remove toxic contaminants
Snake plants are also renowned for their capacity to assist in the removal of airborne toxins. Snake plants may absorb minuscule amounts of cancer-causing chemicals, including
Mental health enhancer
According to 2018 study, the premise that plants play a good function is well-established, despite the need for more scientific research on the mental health benefits of houseplants.
Due of its therapeutic properties, horticultural therapy is also utilized in the treatment of mental health conditions. Adding indoor plants to companies, schools, and hospitals is a low-cost and low-risk approach to enhance these surroundings.

The jade plant is not only pretty to look at, but it also has many benefits that make it a unique plant. Here are some of the benefits of jade plants:
Cleans the air inside
The jade plant, like other indoor plants, is known to help clean the air. You can clean the air inside your home by making sure it has enough ventilation and putting jade plants in different rooms. Your home can end up getting full of toxins and other pollutants. So, one of the best things about jade plants is that they can clean the air. So, you can use this indoor plant to clean the air and make your life healthier.
Absorbs Carbon Dioxide
Do you know that at night, the jade plant can take in carbon dioxide? Not only does it make the air inside better, but it also helps you sleep better. That's why it's a good idea to keep your jade plant in your bedroom. In fact, the jade plant uses a process called crassulacean acid metabolism (CAM), which makes its small pores open at night so it can take in carbon dioxide.
Recent research by scientists showed that the air inside can be just as dirty and dangerous as the air outside. It can even cause "Sick Building Syndrome," which includes allergies, dizziness, headaches, nausea, and trouble focusing. The best way to stop this is to make sure there is enough ventilation, but you can also use air-cleaning houseplants like the snake plant, golden pothos, spider plant, dracaena, aloe vera, and jade plant.
Volatile Organic Compounds like formaldehyde, acetone, benzene, and toluene are given off by things like paints, polishes, glues, and fire retardants.
A New York State University study found that a jade plant can get rid of these VOCs.
It gets rid of toluene and acetone the best. Here is where you can find out more about this research.
The United States Department of Labor says that being around toluene can cause weakness, exhaustion, confusion, insomnia, and more serious problems like liver and kidney damage.

It can also give you wrinkles and fine lines, which make you look older. And if you have a lung disease like sinusitis, asthma, or bronchitis, dry air makes it worse.
People who use heaters and air conditioners have to deal with dry air, but you can make the air around you less dry by growing houseplants like areca palms.
Easy to take care of
Areca palm is easy to take care of and doesn't mind being overwatered once in a while, unlike some other houseplants. You can easily cut it back to make it the size you want. The only thing it needs to grow is bright, indirect light. It can't grow in the dark.
Absorbs pollutants in the air inside
According to the NASA Clean Air Study, the areca palm can help reduce indoor pollution by breaking down chemicals like acetone, xylene, formaldehyde, and toluene. This makes the air you breathe cleaner and less polluted.
